Huggable Urns One of the most direct responses in grief is the loss of the physical presence of our loved ones. If our loved one wished for burial, we can go visit the cemetary. If our loved one wished for cremation, we might have the urn or had a ceremony in remembrance. But, it certainly doesn't warm us at night. And, even with loved ones and well meaning friends, grief is a very private experience. Sometimes, you just want a HUG -- without condition, without explanation -- and sob your heart out. At least, that is how I feel. And, I didn't know how to handle it. Then, I discovered this wonderful product created by Alexandria Lachini - called a 'Huggable Urn'. Her story is delightful as she tells how her crossed over father inspired her to create something that would honor his memory and help others through the grieving process. Her story and her father's sentiments were ones that I could relate to. As soon as I read her site, I knew that this was something that could help me when I was feeling low and lonely. I travel extensively and my Huggable Urn comes with me on all my trips. This was especially important when I traveled on days that were 'mini' anniversaries of events my husband and I shared. Each evening, I would come back to my hotel room and find comfort in being able to have a part of him with me. He has even been safely checked through TSA!
